Auctiva allows you to save your shipping preferences and load them into new listings using the Shipping Profile. This tutorial will show you how to create a Shipping Profile.
What is a Shipping Profile?
A Shipping Profile contains the shipping preferences you use. When you create a new listing, you can use a Shipping Profile to quickly load all the shipping preferences into the listing at one time. This can be a great method to load redundant shipping settings that will save you time.
How to create a Shipping Profile
You can create as many Shipping Profiles as you need to fit the various shipping methods and preferences required for your listings. You can choose to leave any of the fields blank if necessary.
Step 1. Add a Shipping Profile.
- Hover your mouse over the Profiles tab and click on the Shipping link (Figure 1). The Shipping Profile page will load.
Step 2. Choose the appropriate eBay site.

eBay Site:
Select the eBay site that will be the destination for this listing (Figure 2).
Step 3. Edit location information.

Zip Code:
Enter your zip code. This is for buyers who search for items by location.

Country:
Select the appropriate country from the drop-down menu.
Step 4. Edit optional features.

Get It Fast:
Select this checkbox (Figure 4-A) if you want to enable the Get It Fast Feature. This feature allows domestic buyers to purchase and promptly receive their goods. Your listings must fulfill certain requirements for this feature to be enabled. To learn more about these requirements, click

Domestic Handling Time:
Select the number of business days it will take for you to ship out their purchases (Figure 4-B). If you have enabled the Get It Fast option, you must select the "1" option from the drop down menu.
Step 5. Edit Ship To Locations.
- Select any other countries outside your domestic region that you will ship items to buyers (Figure 5). You can also select to offer Worldwide shipping.
Step 6. Edit the domestic shipping options.

Flat Rate Shipping:
Select this radio button to charge a single rate for domestic shipping.

Calculated Shipping:
Select this radio button to use a calculated shipping charge that is based on weight, size or another factor. Different postal carriers may charge different fees for these items based on a number of factors. When this option is chosen, the Item Dimensions section will appear. Make sure you enter in the shipping weight and package size.

Freight:
Select this radio button if you will ship using freight services (i.e., a trucking company).

Arrange for Local Pick-up (will not ship):
Select this radio button if you do not plan to ship the item and the buyer will need to arrange a pickup.
Step 7. Edit International shipping options.

Flat Rate Shipping:
Select this radio button if you plan to charge a flat rate for International shipping services. When this option is chosen, the International Shipping Services section will appear. You will fill out this section as you would the Domestic Shipping Services section.

Calculated Shipping:
Select this radio button if you plan to use a calculated shipping charge based on weight, size or another factor. Different postal carriers may charge different fees for these items based on a number of factors. When this option is chosen, the International Shipping Services section and Item Dimension section will appear. You will fill out the International Shipping Services section as you would the Domestic Shipping Services section. In the Item Dimensions section, make sure you enter in the shipping weight and package size.

Will Not Ship International:
Select this radio button if you will not ship International, except when expressed in the "Ship To Locations" section.
Step 8. Select the Domestic/International shipping services.
Note: When you choose to ship to regions outside of your domestic region, the International Shipping Services will display. Fill out the International Shipping Services section just as you would fill out the Domestic Shipping Services. Make sure to select the regions that you will ship to with this service.
- Use the drop-down menu provided to chose a shipping method (Figure 8-A).

Cost:
Enter the cost for the selected shipping method (Figure 8-B). Enter zero if you will offer free shipping with this shipping method.

Additional Item Cost:
Enter any additional costs for shipping (Figure 8-C). Make sure you adhere to eBay's
excessive shipping charge policy

- Click on the "Add another service" link if you would like to add another shipping service to this profile.
Step 9. Edit Combined shipping discounts.

Step. 10. Edit Auctiva Shipping Insurance.
Select one of three options. They are:
- Automatically purchase insurance for this listing
- Use my Global Insurance Rules
- Do not purchase insurance for this listing

Use my Global Insurance Rules:
this setting will only generate a shipping insurance
policy if certain criteria are met that you set in your Auctiva Shipping Insurance

Auto-Insure Rules

Do not purchase insurance for this listing:
selecting this will prevent any
insurance from automatically being purchased, regardless of any other insurance
settings you may have set in your Auctiva Shipping Insurance Settings -

Profile Name:
Enter the desired name for your newly created Shipping Profile.

Step 11. Save Profile.

Enter the desired name for your newly created Shipping Profile.
- Click the Save button.
