How To Get Started

Auctiva provides a guided step-by-step onboarding process that gives you the ability to get everything set up, quickly and easily.

Step 1: Verify Your Email to Activate Your Account

After you sign up for your Free Trial, you'll be guided through a quick, step-by-step onboarding process. The first step is to simply verify your email address (Figure 1).

  1. Check your email inbox.
  2. Open the "Welcome to Auctiva! Please confirm your email address to activate your account" email we sent you.
  3. Click the "Confirm & Activate" button, to activate your Auctiva account.

If you have questions or need help during the onboarding process, you can hover your mouse over the "Help" link, located in the top nav bar, and click "File A Support Case" to contact our Customer Support Team (Figure 1.1).

Step 2: Link Your Seller Accounts to Auctiva

On the second step, link your primary selling account for each integrated channel to your Auctiva account.

To link your eBay seller account:

  1. Click on the "Link My eBay Account" button located on the eBay tab.
  2. You'll be brought to eBay's login page, where you simply need to log into your eBay seller account and click "Agree" on the authorization page.
  3. After you authorize Auctiva, you'll be brought right back to step 2 (Figure 2).

To link your Amazon seller account, click on the Amazon tab and follow the 4 step instructions to connect your Amazon Seller Central account to Auctiva (Figure 2.1).

Step 3: Choose How You Want To Manage Your Inventory

Auctiva gives you the ability to choose how you want to manage your quantity stock levels across all linked channels. You can either choose between Auto-Synced Quantity, or Allocated Quantity.

Auto-Synced Quantity means that we'll keep your listing's quantity in sync across all linked channels automatically, so that no matter where a sale or edit occurs, the quantity is always up-to-date.

  • How does syncing work?
    • We sync quantities based off the listing's SKU. Meaning, if you have a listing on Amazon and eBay that have the same SKU, we'll keep those quantities in sync automatically.
    • If your listings do not contain SKUs and you turn this setting on, we'll auto-generate a SKU and sync quantities based off the listing's GTIN (UPC, EAN or ISBN) and the item condition.
    • At anytime you can manually sync quantities together by giving them the same SKU.

Allocated Quantity means that you'll manage your listing's quantity independently across all linked channels; simply put, we will not auto-sync your quantities across channels. With this setting, you'll be able to specify your quantity for each listing, on each channel.

Step 4: Finish the Onboarding Process

Step 4 is quick. Simply review your information and click "Next" to have your products imported into Auctiva. We'll import all of the active products you have across all linked channels. Depending on how many products you have, this process may take a few hours to complete. But don't worry––as soon as your products finish importing we'll be sure to let you know.

While you wait for your products to import into your Auctiva account, watch a few of our demo videos on YouTube, or explore your Auctiva account and familiarize yourself with it.
