Hi, I am a huge collector of all Bettie Page photos especially her nude images. But I'm not just a collector of Bettie Page images because I am also a big fan of just about all vintage photos. Bettie Page (Betty Page), was the pinup queen of the 1950's and 60's with her trademark pageboy hairdo. A huge cult figure, Bettie Page was probably most famous for the 20,000 plus, 4x5 inch black and white photos taken by amateur shutterbugs between the years 1949 to 1957. Most of the photographs pictured her in black high heels shoes and in either bikinis or negligees and bondage apparel and also nude and wearing nothing at all. Bettie, whose later life was ruled by mood swings, depression and a few years in a mental institution, died at the age of 85 at Kindred Hospital in Los Angeles. She had been on a life support machine since having a heart attack on the 2nd December said her agent, Mark Roesler. The photos of Bettie inspired Bettie Page biographies, websites, comic books, and other commercial products, such as Bettie Page playing cards, Bettie Page dresses, maction figures, Zippo lighters and a film about her life came out in 2005 called "The Notorious Bettie Page." Today, there are the popular portraits of her as naughty Nurse Bettie, Jungle Bettie Page, Voodoo Bettie and Maid Bettie Page captured by artists like as Olivia de Berardinis. Bettie Page is as popular today as she has ever been and her photos will live on for many years to come.
