While living here we discovered a market niche selling glow necklaces, hats and other novelties during the Fourth of July’s fireworks and other events. As an added bonus, the kids had developed into a solid sales team. Sadly, on September 25, 2000, Carol at 40yrs old lost her battle with Pancreatic Cancer and without her, our family adventure also passed away.
Now that the children are grown and have their own lives, I start anew with my older brother Arthur, recently retired, as part owner. He has over 25 years business experience buying and selling various memorabilia and collectibles at area flea markets. He opened The Hobbies Store in South Boston in 1990 until 2004. I have 7 years experience selling at auctions and
dealing in comic books. We are offering collectors a fair, honest, and friendly atmosphere not just as customers, but the beginning of new friendships.
