I am an old bookkeeper with spinal damage from an auto accident with trauma induced fibromyalgia that leaves me in horrible pain from ears to toes. Most days I can't even type as just bringing my arms out stresses my spinal muscles and causes spasms. Beading is good for me financially as well as emotionally as I can bead mostly with the beads right in front of me and not have to use my arms away from my body. I am in bed 20 hours a day and have to use too many pain pills to get up and shower and dress. Most days it is just too painful for the drugs to work but when the do, I would rather bead than do anything else! Financially we were solvent until 2004 when I lost my income and my husband is home most of the time taking care of me, so no income except beading. Therefore, if you would like to hire me, you will receive a beautifully beaded item and will be helping us save our home. We are hanging on just barely right now. And as typical, these photos don't really show how stunning this strand is! Pink Chalcedony, Ruby Quartz, Lampworks & Pink Cats Eyes Hand carved Pink Turquoise Roses Necklace: 22" (2nd strand 15") Stretch Bracelet 7.5 to 7.75" There are pink earrings in my store or I could create some for you. I think a simple dangle would be perfect with this lovely piece. The necklace and bracelet are made with the same gemstones and beads with Pink Chalcedony, Pink Agate, Faceted Ruby Quartz and Pink Cats Eye rounds with GENUINE Pink Turquoise Carved Roses! The lampworks have sweet little roses on a white background for a nice vintage look while the pinks are muted they are rich in color! The necklace has a Bali silver rose style toggle clasp for easy on easy off and Bali silver 2 to 1 floral strand connectors so you have just one strand at the back of your neck. I think you could use a torsad clip (or safety pin) to connect the single strands from bead to bead to shorten this to choker length or any length you wish and let the extra drape gently down your back! Estimate sizes are also shown inside of the photos: 25mm = 1" The necklace is strung on .21, 15 strand cable wire that is coated so it will not snag or rust. This is heavy duty wire, surely to last you years and years! It is crimped with the crimps covered with a split bead that does leave an unavoidable but small seam on the covers. The bracelet is strung on .08mm elastic cording, super strong! I could stretch a 10" piece as far as my arms can stretch, then stick my foot in it and push even further and this elastic doesn't break! ~~~ If there is a coin in the photos it is so you can compare sizes and is not included with this piece. Notes: As shown in photo #4, this Sodulite oval gem has a flat edge on the very end of it unlike the others. I don't know if it is a flaw or smooth chip or what but if you look real close you can see the difference from the other 3 ovals so I thought I should point it out. It looks very large in the photos but it is about 3mm in difference, smaller than the 5mm bead next to it. The Blue Chalcedony cubes and rondelles likes to play lavender when the flash hits it but it isn't purple or lavender at all, it is blue, soft cloudy blue, smooth and cool to the touch.. Approximate measurements is as follows: remember 25mm = 1 inch * Blue Sodulite: Ovals 25 x 18 x 8mm thick & 10mm rounds * Lapis: 6 and 4mm rounds * Blue Chalcedony: 9 to 10mm x 8mm freeform cubes & 10 x 6mm rondelles * Levi Blue Agates 10mm rounds * Bali silver: 5 & 6mm dotted spacers, fancy bead caps, flower bail, Heart detailed lobster claw clip and round toggle clasp. * Silver plated 5mm crimp covers.
