Magnesium and Migraines Magnesium I have found that Homeopathic Magnesium phosphate generally known as Mag phos has eased my asthma remarkably. Mag phos is a homeopathic remedy made from Magnesium. A homeopathic remedy is made very scientifically. There are different strengths or potencies for each remedy. Different strengths of Homeopathy medicines 6x strength or potency is the lowest generally accepted potency which is available to the general public in Health food stores in Australia. In Australia higher potencies or strengths need to be dispensed by a homeopath. In some other countries these are more readily available. Each higher potency actually has less of the original magnesium in it. By the time it gets to 12x potency there is actually nothing of the original substance in the remedy. Only the energy of the original substance is still held in the pillule or liquid. The little pills are called pillules. As the potency gets stronger or higher, the energy contained in the pillules gets stronger or more refined. A homeopath is guided by his/her study to know which potency is best for each situation. Annie's Asthma symptoms helped by Mag phos Chest very wheezy, difficult breathing, worse breathing out, better for warm air, worse for cold air and wind. Breathing difficult when walking, worse going up an incline, worse fast walking, worse exercise, worse talking. Remember to be guided by your health care professional. Asthma must be treated by a doctor as it can be serious. Complementary medicines are complementary. Magnesium and Migraines Asthma and Tissue Salts Major benefits of Magnesium

Geraniums & pelargoniums are very hardy plants originating in South Africa. I the cooler climates of the northern hemisphere they are delicate plants that are grown in pots & wintered indoors. Here in Australia, we are in the lucky position to have a warm climate where geraniums & pelargoniums thrive outdoors all year round.

My geraniums are all very hardy, getting little water, yet thriving in the drought conditions we have had here in Victoria for the last 10 years. They flower prolifically in colours of white, pale to hot pink, apricot, mauve, red & dark burgundy with black stripes. Their leaves range from curly, small, & scented, to variegated to cupped.

Geraniums & Pelargoniums appreciate being pruned lightly in the autumn so that they can make new growth for a bright show of flowers. These plants are always a delight, giving flowers throughtout the year.

Snail Creeper, Paseollus caracalla, or Snail creeper Vine, is one of my favourite plants. It has very unusual flowers, being curly like a chell or a snail shell. It has many folds in the flower. It id a soft leaved plant and not invasive. It is easily trimmed from where you do not want it. I give my plant a severe trim in July/August which is winter time in southern Australia. Most of the leaves are gone by this time so it is easy to see where you want to snip the vine. When the plant is trimmed all the winter sunshine comes through our north facing window. In Australia the sunshine comes from the north. We were in China last year and found it difficult to get our bearings because their sunshine comes from the south. This beautiful vines gives us shade from the hot sun in summertime. It also gives us beautiful perfume as the bi colour flowers are scented. We wanted to enjoy the perfume so planted this near a doorway. When the door and window are opened in the evening the perfume is exquisite. This plant is rare. I would love to share a photo with you but try my site http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Snail-Creeper-Vine-15-Seeds-Fragrant-Purple-Flower-Phaseolus-caracalla-/170883523337?pt=AU_Plants_Seeds_Bulbs&hash=item27c973a309 for lots of photos and different seeds.
Geraniums and Pelargoniums

Geraniums and Pelargoniums are very hardy plants. They originate in South Africa. Pelargonium is the correct name for thes specie however they were called Geraniums when first taken to England and the name has stuck. It is also thought that the word Geranium rolls off the tongue with more ease than does the word Pelargonium, and so now the plants are known by the two names.

Taking Cuttings

Geranium/Pelargoniums are very easy to propagate. Take a tip cutting, that is about 8cm long with three or more nodes along the stem. The nodes are where the leaves join the stem. These plants are very hardy and do not like to be kept too wet so leave the cuttings for a day or so for the cut end of the stem to dry then place them in a propagating mix. This mix can be sand, or sand and potting mix, or sand and coir mix.

Place six or ten cuttings in the one pot. Water them and drain well. Leave this pot in the shade for a few days then place it where it can get some sunlight. Keep it out of the hot sun as you don't want it to dry out altogether. Water when dry. These cuttings will take root in about four weeks.

When roots appear out the bottom of the pot it is time to repot the cuttings into pots of their own. When the plant is well grown, about 20-30cm tall it can safely be planted out into the garden and will grow like the bush seen below.

Visit My eBay Store to buy plants or cuttings just like these.
