I am selling stuff from my dad's house, he passed away in 2007 leaving a will wanting everything in his home sold and split 3 ways, he left a note apolizing for not having much to leave to help his family. But he did have a house full of stuff he bought. The problem is the step mother decided that she should have everything so she and her sister took the most valuable items, trucks full and stole them away. This has been the most horrible time of my life, I had known this woman for years and had no idea what she was capable of, there was a life insurance that daddy had put that he wanted it split 3 way's but my stepmom poor mouthed and got the lady at his work to give it all to her. She was supposed to finish paying the mortgage which is about 30k out of my dad's pension, this was a deal made with my aunt and cousin when the mortgage was taken out, but instead she decides that the bank screwed up the mortage putting the lein on the wrong property so she quit paying her mortgage. You see the mortgage was on property that housed my fathers home and the home of my widowed aunt and her unemployed daughter, she has put their home at risk, my aunt has had serveral strokes and this is putting her under undo stress her daughter has had many stress related issues and this is all because she and her sister are greedy. Then to top it off she has used a florida law made to protect wifes while the estate is processed, it's called family care, this is for spouses that are without funds and need help, this is not the case, she had no bills except the mortgage which was 675. and the elec. and food, she is getting about 2k a month or more and now the judge gives her 900.+ in family care. The problem is the estate didn't have any funds, the only assets where the property with the aunt and her daughter which can't be sold and a piece of real estate next door that the title company had screwed up and put the lein against. So here we are 1 year and 4 months later still trying to sell the property as lawyers fees and this family care and a 30 k+ mortgage, which is in foreclosure, are adding up. She keeps telling my aunt that the lawyers said her house is not at risk because the title company messed up and used the wrong property discription on the loan. We spoke to one lawyer that said that is not the case that the bank could force a sale and my aunt and her daughter would be out of ther home. After she had taken everything that she knew she could sell out of the home she decided to let my sister and I have the rest so here we are selling plugs and computer stuff that daddy had. My wish is that we could find a Florida lawyer that would take our case for free and help us combat the evil. I loved my daddy and know that he wanted his estate handled differently, he had his reasons for doing things the way he did, I am only sad that I trusted the wrong people and have competely screwed up something so important to him. I feel as though I have let my sister down when she really needs the assets to help save her own home. I feel that I have let my aunt and cousin down because their home could be a risk and all because this woman, this person I don't know is making it all happen.
