One small inside compartment with zipper closure. There is also a flap on the front that encloses another zippered compartment. The inside lining is made of cloth. The strap is NOT adjustable. There is plenty of room in this purse for many items and everything has its place. So organized. I see no defects in this purse. The exterior does not look like leather.
