Victorian Brass Banquet Cherub Lamp Rubina Verde Shade Victorian Banquet Lamp "Cherub Holding a Butterfly" with Rubina Verde Cranberry Diamond Quilted Shade with "Bee Hive" Pattern. Attrubited Hobbs Brockunier 1885. *About The Body: *This Victorian Brass banquet lamp features a wonderful cherub holding a butterfly. It has been matte guilded so the toning is very soft and not real shiny. *It stands 29" tall to the top of the chimney. The chimney is antique and is a hand-blown with a "pie-crust" top. *The base is not marked but is most likely a Parker body considering the quality and detail of this mint condition piece. No dents or dings in the brass metal. * It retains its original in oil condition but can be electrified if you choose thorugh the "central draft" burner without damage to the base. About The Shade: *This shade is a magnificient piece of art glass and is attributed to the Hobbs Brockunier Co 1885. *The South Wheeling Glass Works of Hobbs, Brockunier & Co. were located in the lower part of the city of Wheeling West Virginia. The factory was opened in 1845 and produced some of the finest art glass items which are today in demand and highly desirable. *It features a 4" fitter shade ring and flares to 9 1/2" at the ruggle top. It is known as "Rubina Verde Cranberry" art glass diamond quilted with a "Bee Hive" pattern as well. Mint condition shade with not chips, breaks, flea bites. A perfect example of the period.
