The unsold is sold at last

An item I had listed three times that should have been a quick sale, was finally sold yesterday, after I reduced the price by £5.00. It was a top brand name garment that I bought and outbid several other people to win - only when it arrived it was far too big for me, so decided to put it straight back on at a fraction above what I paid for it. No problem, I thought. Someone who I outbid will snap it up. How wrong that assumption turned out to be! There were plenty of watchers when it was relisted , around nine, but none of them actually bid, so the item went unsold. I was shocked. I re-listed it and and again it didn't sell. So I listed it a third time on a buy-now basis and then a couple of days before auction end dropped the price and it finally flew off the shelf. Okay, so I made a loss, but it's better than not selling it at all!
