Very Rare Doll from my personal collection... I have only ever seen but one on ebay and she was missing crown. I have had a saved search for a while with no results! According to my Madame Alexander Collector's Dolls book by Patricia Smith, the Fairy Princess was released in 1940 as Tiny and Little Betty and same year also 14" & 18" Wendy Ann. Fairy Princess was again released in 1942 in four different sizes as "Wendy Ann" and this is the only reference I see to a "Wendy Ann" composition Fairy Queen in 21" size period...which could explain why they are very rare. I have only found one price reference so far period, which I have shown in photographs but have found no photo reference available at all. The pricing info is from Linda Crowsey's Madame Alexander 2009 Collector's Price Guide. The dates for this 21" doll are different in this book referencing the 21" doll from 1944-46 only.
