I have to tell you that throughout the past two months I’ve been getting a little frustrated. I’m just not making money as easily, which tends to tell me that this market has changed. Previously I was participating in a strongly trending market, where money seemed to just flow into the trading account. At the moment it’s hard to hold a position for more than three days, whereas before I was holding positions for three weeks or so.
The style of trading that I adopt is more that of an end-of-day trader who takes his entries off the intra-day chart. The three things that are important to me are entry, trade management and exit or profit target. Entry into the trades has not been a problem, but where I’m getting knocked out is on trade management. For this reason investigatory work is called for, and there is no better place to look than our ASX Sectors.
