Kayak cord has so many uses from Kayak/marine use to industrial, as well as manufactured into stiff 4 knot halters used by many famous trainers (I won't say Who?). This rope is a polyester. Polyester rope has great abrasion resistant properties, as well as little stretch. Want a great rope that will hold up throughout the years, this is your rope. Polyester fibers also do not fade colors in the sun as fast as a polypropylene or multifilament polypropylene (MFP). This rope is 5mm which is approximately 3/16" or a tad bit shy of 1/4".
