Under every resentment there lies a gift and if we are able to acknowledge these resentments we find a much calmer emotional life is possible. Personally I also use the EFT program to help unearth resentments and fears and also to help me hand them over to the God of my understanding. I have found the step 4 practice very powerful in uncovering old resentments and fears - I have worked with many different healing modalities including Crystal Therapy, Reiki, QXCI and EFT and am for ever amazed at the power of the 12 Step program to uncover and then remove the Old Matrix Programming that we have. It has a very powerful 12 Step program of recovery that may be very helpful to you. Many relatives and friends of Alcholics are unaware of the damage done to them by someone elses illness. There are many Adult Children of Alcholics who have trouble relating to people in their life and do not know that there is most likely a connection with the former or current Alcoholic and their inability to form stable emotional relationships.
