Edna Hibel won her first prize for art at the early age of 13. At the early age of seventeen she entered the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts.
Edna opened her first "Edna Hibel Gallery" in 1960 in Massachusetts.
Her first limited-edition collector plate was entitle "Colette and Child". Edna received a Medal of Honor from the late Pope John Paul II for her work. She was also the first foreign women artist to exhibit her work in the Peoples Republic in China in the mid 1980's.
The work of Edna Hibel is highly soft after. She is known of the First Lady of Collector's Plate Art.
