This is in good condition do to its age. (CP49). Though signed "Yolanda," the artist of this gouache and watercolor painting is unknown. The still life, contained and symmetrical, is dominated by the form of a pear. On either side, grapes and berries add bursts of color between the green leaves and brown branches. The still life recalls the graphic traditions of Spain, where such fruits were included as symbolic garlands surrounding images of saints and leaders, though there the imagery becomes purely secular.
