To aisle runner or not?

A recent question to floral artist Greg Grenevitch-
I was wondering if this aisle runner would look okay in an outdoor ceremony (long wooden deck). Please let me know...I am very interested!

Perhaps the real question is do I want an aisle runner used at my wedding?

In operating a florist shop for 10 years I have seen them on grass, sidewalk, wood floor, etc. An aisle runner creates a sense of importance and gives greater value, as do all traditions to the event of being married. Research shows the more time & money you invest in a marriage the longer it will last. This is not to say lavish Hollywood weddings last longer this investment must come from both of the marrying individuals and the investment must be of that which is most important to each of them. A good example is the couple with a long abstinent courtship, not that I believe having sex before marriage causes divorce, but an abstinent courtship is an investment that binds these individuals together. A big wedding paid for by your parents can be the complete opposite giving the couple no real sense of personal investment and no reason to be faithful. Buy an aisle runner to enhance the wedding experiance and the joy of being married, knowing that it sets the bride apart making her the focus of the hallowed celebration.
