I talked about making bath salts for several weeks. It had become a dream of mine to help people with therapeutic salts. I just never took the money for the start up cost. One night in 2001 coming home from the movies my car was hit by a drunk driver and shoved us half way down the road. Thank God Michael nor myself were hurt. I asked Michael what he thought about me taking taking a $100 from the accident to purchase items I needed for making salt. He said I was his baby and he loved me and if I really wanted to make bath salts he would support me all the way. He called me later that night to make sure I really wasn't hurt and if I had thought about what I was gonna call my little project. I thought for a short while when it hit me...Dream Baby Bath Salt. I started making salts for friends as a hobby...which suddenly turned into a small business. Michael got me into selling at the local flea markets and gave me the extra little push I needed to grow. I've since then dropped the salt and known now as Dream Baby Bath. It was amazing how quick Dream Baby Bath grew in just one short year. I had my products in several places and many different states. I also supplied several of the flea market candle makers with soaps. I'd have to say outside of my handmade soaps my One Minute Manicure was my most popular item. I would give a free demo to anyone who would let me, the sales of it far surpassed anything I'd ever seen...I couldn't keep enough of it made, people absolutely loved it. Not only did I have to drop down to 2 days a week at my job but I had to hire some help to do my packing and shipping as well as 3 people to make deliveries to some places as much as 3hrs away. I have to be honest...it was hard work. While working a flea market I ran into a lady who was starting her own massage therapy business and she was looking for some decorating items. I gave her a One Minute Manicure demo and she was hooked. Needless to say she was the first massage therapist to carry a line of Dream Baby Bath bath & body products. After supplying her for a few months I got up the courage to seek out another. Before the year was up I supplied a total of 6. I'm sure you've noticed that I've been talking about Dream Baby Bath in past tense, well don't you know life was to SHOW itself. Just when I was doing my best...I had to drop down to a turtles run. In the last few years I've had a family member whom needed me to help take care of them before their passing. I didn't really trust anyone to take over my little business so I put it on the back burner. I kept a few of my massage therapist and done holiday bath & body baskets, by order only. After receiving tons of e-mails Dream Baby Bath made a come back. I've slowly trained a couple of people to help me make my luxurious products. I was pushed into trusting people to help me, cause you never know what tomorrow will bring. Not only have I read your e-mails...I've listened!! The one thing most of you wanted was a place to get small amounts of soap base. I'm happy to say I've teamed up with microbiding to offer you soap making supplies at great prices. We importance of offering you the opportunity of making handmade soaps at home, especially now due to the economy being off kilter. It's something you could get the whole family involved in without leaving home!
