We are a Licensed and Certified State of California Nursery and we grow our plants on 2 acres in North Hollywood, California, where winter temperatures regularly drop below freezing, and summer temps reach over 100 every year. Nearly every plant you purchase from us is one we grew from seed, and has been raised outdoors, so it is not a greenhouse softie. We guarantee our plants.
Our goal in growing plants, and helping you grow them, is to increase the worldwide population of cycads, so they will be preserved for future generations. We do this by:
Propagating and growing endangered plants, pursuing Preservation through Propagation.
Teaching our customers and friends how to grow and preserve endangered species in their own gardens.
Selling endangered plants at favorable prices to get as many of them as possible into gardens and landscapes, thus preserving the species.
Ultimately, we will have achieved a measure of success if in the coming years:
There will be ample quantities of cycads of all sizes available to home gardeners at reasonable prices.
Gardeners and landscapers will nurture and care for cycads knowing they are beautiful endangered relics from prehistory.
Cycad habitats in the wild will become intriguing places to visit, examine and study, not harvesting grounds for poachers.
