The Bob Ross DVD Joy of Painting series 8 is a set of 3 DVDs with 13 painting projects in all. This DVD is from the art instructional TV series The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross. This DVD set permits you to watch and paint along with Bob. ( Hey, slow down there Bob,,,I can not paint that in 30 minutes! ) Thank goodness you do not have to, you can pause Bob while you catch up. Maybe you just messed up that happy cloud and want to just start over. Go grab a new canvas, get the liquid white on it, and start the DVD over again. Save the boo boo canvas, paint it all the same shade store it as it dries (keep away from dust and pet hair)and you have a canvas ready for your next painting. It is sort of like having Bob in your living room teaching you to paint. But now you can control Bob, put him in ultra slow motion so that you can see how he painted that cloud. Watch him at your speed,,not Bob speed. I can not paint a painting in 30 minutes like Bob. So that is what I do I watch in slow motion so that I can study his brush strokes. You can learn so much more by just watching the brush strokes and also how he loads the paint onto the brush. Things you can catch in slow motion. I teach Bob Ross classes my students watch the 30 minute program on DVD of the project we are painting before we begin. This permits the students to see the master at work, and it helps them understand the steps it takes to achieve a finished painting. Maxine

The Joy of Painting Book 15 is one of my top sellers. It has two projects for oval paintings. An old barn that seems to fit with all of our memories. The snow and morning sun cast a lavender haze across the canvas on project 1 The Splendor of Winter. This is a great book for your Bob Ross Joy of Painting collection. The Bob Ross Book Joy of Painting 5 has a little Indian girl as a painting project. As with everything it is made easy as you follow along step by step. The guest artist is Ferne Sirois. Ferne is of American Indian heritage, so the little girl is special to her. Ferne also creates artwork for Catalina Sportswear, Cal Sport and other fashion houses. Just wanted to let everyone know that sometimes Bob will surprise you by placing something different in one of his books. He has Guest Artist on the Joy of Painting sometimes ( or should I say he did have ). It is fun to paint this little girl. Bob Ross had fun with his painting, that is why the show is The Joy of Painting. Painting is a joyful activity. I think if we all painted there would be less stress, maybe the economy would improve. We would be home painting, not out spending money we do not have. Maybe we should all get together and plan a national painting day. We all stay home and paint, no shopping, no expensive lunch or dinner out. I do get carried away.
