Hallmark items have always been nice to collect although I personally don't collect them, I do buy them for my auctions and store inventory. Recently I have found two (2) really nice Hallmark items in thrift stores. I've spent very little on Both and they have proven to bring good profits to my small business. One of the ways that I check value and demand is with my iPhone while still in the store. I have several apps and even a scanner to check out the values and if they are moving on auction sites like eBay and Auctiva. As I pick through thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales and any other place that I can find a bargain to bless someone else with I recently came upon a Riddell Lacrosse Helmet. Loving sports as I do I immediately knew that I had something pretty nice for the price of $2.25. After doing some home work I found that I could turn a pretty good profit with this pick. Other things that I didn't know about Lacrosse helmets; (1) They have to meet NOCSAE standards (2) They should be inspected by the manufacture every 2 years (3) You can fill the inside up with air to make a better fit for the person wearing it. On a final note always remember that when picking to resell is to have a passion for the item your buying and to learn all you can about the product so that you know that your customer will be pleased with making the right choice when buying from you.
