Best of all, this appliance has No Teflon! It's very hard to find wafflemakers without Teflon - so this well made, perfectly functioning Made in the USA vintage Superlectric is a great choice at a reasonable price. This convertible waffle maker / griddle /grill design was heavily based on Sunbeam's iconic CG / CG-1 Waffle Maker Grill Griddle, but conveniently combined the cooking grids for waffles and grilling plates, making it a little more cost effective & easier to store than the Sunbeam CG. Just like the CG, the SuperLectric features near commercial quality components with 1100 watts of power, excellent temperature control and heavy cast aluminum plates that'll make piles of crispy 9" square waffles. Simply flip the waffle plates to grill sandwiches & meats, open it up flat (pop out the auxiliary 'leg' in the handle for extra support) and you get a vast griddle surface big enough for 8 big pancakes.. or eggs or..?? This vintage electric waffle iron & grill & griddle is in very good used condition, we have tested it out and can verify that it works beautifully - and makes fantastic waffles, pancakes and panini (aka grilled cheese sandwiches :). It is in excellent shape, with very nice chrome, some light marks from cleaning visible on close exam, but over all could almost be taken for new except for the seasoning on the plates (which is a bonus - saves time on seasoning yourself!) Displays beautifully - and works like a dream. The grill plates are clean but well seasoned, the cord is in great shape, even the internal area where the heating elements are is tidy and nice. This lovely SuperLectric Waffler / Grill / Griddle is such a gem - made well, works well, small footprint - compact dual purpose grid plates, easy to store, but has beautiful styling if you want to display it on the counter. Made in the USA with excellent build quality,. feels and looks solid - not flimsy plastic-y disposable Made-in-China junk. This appliance was made to work and to last!
