I have been making Victorian and Edwardian hats and costumes and selling them on eBay for a number of years. I love creating hats and pride myself on not making any of them alike. They each evolve into beautiful creations with their own distinct appearance. I never plan ahead or know how they will look, until they are finished. I create hats the same way I write my novels, not planning or out-lining my books and allowing my characters to develop their own personalities. I often use vintage trim and lace on my hats. I also make cloche hats, which were worn in the 1920's, 1930’s and 1940's. I have sold on eBay since 1998 and I have over 3,000 positive feedback comments from my customers. Four years ago, I was given a huge estate of antique dolls, antique glass, toys, clothing, jewelry, books and collectibles to sell on eBay, working as a trading assistant, representing the family. Many of the items were from the 1800's, especially the bisque dolls. There were some composition dolls, but my buyers fought furiously over the wonderful German dolls I sold. I was contacted by glass organizations, informing me that I had set prices for art and Burmese glass. Watching my items sell for incredible prices made my early retirement years an exciting transition. The family who was ready to garage sell two storage buildings filled to the rafters were over-joyed at the prices I was able to get for them. I now sell a wide range of items, which are from my private collection. I have postcards, antique and vintage linens and other items, which will be listed on eBay. I was featured in eBay's Chatter magazine, Dec. 2004, and The Fort Worth Star Telegram featured me in a two page article, with photographs, in the business section of their newspaper.
