the ertl co. was founded in mid 1940s  in 1981 the first bank was prouduced the 1913 model t mail serv truck. since then thousands of models have been prouduced. with different co. logos on them. the size of each run can vary from hundreds to  several thousands. some # s appear on the base of each bank indicating  the day of the year per a four digit code the first three are the day of the year & the fourth is the last digit of the year  eg 5 would be 1995 etc. the stock # is shown on the box only.

Prices can range from  lows of $30 to several hundreds of dollars depending on models , types & so forth.
