Handmade Scrunchies

It's been a long time in the making, but I finally did it!!  I learned to crochet.  I have wanted to learn to crochet for many years.  My aunt crochets and I always loved what she did.  She made me a beautiful afghan for my bedroom when I graduated high school.  I still have it to this day and think of her (and my youth) whenever I use it cold on nights. 

When I finally decided to put hook to yarn, I started with books, then worked my way to DVDs that you have to buy.  I tried the internet and was pleasantly surprised when I found some great sites that teach you, with video, how to do so many stitches.  The sites were easy to navigate, the videos were clear and full of close ups and great instruction.

The first site I came upon was www.nexstitch.com.  In the top left hand corner of the screen is where all the videos of many stitches can be learned.  I was amazed at how easy to understand these clips were.  The next place for me to look was www.youtube.com.  I typed in the search box for Crochet Videos and came up with a bunch of ladies (and men) that taught how to do crochet stitches as well.  Needless to say, I am hooked!!!

I have been yarning over (YO) and double crocheting (DC) my way into some pretty things that are useful and fun!  Please keep checking me out to see more.
