    About Us:
Hello, my name is Michael Noonan and I live in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. I am creating this page so that you can learn a little something about the person with whom you may do business. I am a 45 year old father of 4 who recently (May 2006) graduated college with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. I work full-time in a law firm as a paralegal with aspirations of attending law school in Fall 2007. I, and my family, are honest people who enjoy the excitement of watching our eBay auctions. My family and I do eBay for fun, meaning that profit is not our primary motivation. Sure, we make a small profit, but that is simply a natural consequence of buying and selling. Ebay is more of a family activity that we all participate in by hunting and finding things we can list, but for the Mrs. and I, the best part of eBay is that we are teaching our kids how to earn supplemental income in hopes that by expanding their horizons, they will never be without means to surivive. We love collecting things, and have many antiques and collectibles, as well as a substantial art collection. We are not wealthy (far from it), and, like most folks, find that we live week to week. But we are happy. We enjoy eBay. And we appreciate all the buyers who have visited us since we became sellers and a special thanks goes out to the ever increasing number of you who come back repeatedly. Thank you! You've probably noticed that we begin all out auction with a low start bid and no reserve. It doesn't matter if it's a Hummel that books for $875.00 or a $7.00 fry pan, they all start at $3.99 or less. We do not price our auctions according to book values or the prices we pay for things. Our philosophy is that an item is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. Sometimes we sell a piece for substantially less than what we paid for it, and other times we sell a $0.25 item for $300.00. In the end, it all balances out for us. When we first began selling, our auctions were 3 very short, simple paragraphs: a description, a ship weight, and a thank you. However, after selling for 3 years and dealing with a multitude of personalities, we have found it necessary to include a substantial amount of additional text in our auctions. Accordingly, I would like to comment on some of the language in our auctions. Before beginning, I would also like you to note that the warnings offered by eBay to buyers relative to safe buying, are likewise offered to sellers as safe selling tips. This means that eBay recognizes that dishonesty is a trait occasionally found in buyers and sellers alike. We like things to be simple and direct, however, it's difficult to maintain that particular momentum on eBay because of the multitude of personalities that we deal with. 99% of our listings are devoted to collectibles and antiques, which means that the majority of items we auction are either slightly used, moderately used, or used extensively. Our experience has taught us that it is not beyond particular enterprising collectors to purchase a partcular item and exchange it with a damaged item, then attempt to return the damaged item as the item purchased and claim it was misrepresented. These, in addition to other experiences, are the practices that have prompted us to insert certain language into our auctions relative to feedback, shipping, and returns. None of our policies are etched in stone. If you take issue with an item, all you have to do is politely state the problem and we will work with you to acheive a speedy resolution. We are comsumers first and sellers second and we respect all of you who visit our auctions. On that note I will simply state that communication works.
