Jean Nordquist's second wooden kit release for 2010 is of a darling Tuck illustration of a little girl holding Mr. Punch in her right hand and a dolly in her left. When the string is pulled she raises and lowers her arms moving the dolls up and down. This reproduction 1920's English Tuck toy was originally made of chromolithographed covered cardboard. It was originally printed in Germany. Jean and Ken Nordquist own the original. Very difficult to find with a very desirable image, this rare perishable toy is now available for you to make from Jean's kit. Being made of wood, it's much sturdier than the original and could actually be played with, displayed with your doll collection, or used as a tree decoration. Jean Nordquist has just released her first reproduction wooden doll accessory kit for 2010. It is a darling 6-1/2" long rocking cradle suitable for all 4-1/2" to 5-1/2" dollies. It works really well with Wee Bambino or Bonnie Babe. The original cradle was made in the 1940's of cardboard. Our reproduction is made of cardstock covered wood so it is much sturdier. It is very easy to make. It consists of 2 head/foot boards, 2 dowel side rails, 1 bottom and 2 bottom supports. It also have all the paper images to cover the wooden parts. Best of all it also includes coordinated fabric from which you can make a matching mattress, pillow and trimmed coverlet.
