Now you can make an antique reproduction of "The Ultimate French Doll Shop" from our newest project released in March, 2014, to house all your small dolls whether they are antique or reproduction. Our project includes doll shop building plans,chalk painting technique for a truly vintage look, over 90 cardstock and paper dolls and toys to make, the wallpaper and window plastic for the windows, and an 8" fashion shop keeper pattern designed for this project by Jackie Chimpky. My Hankie Dolls Card and Envelope project is a faithful replica of my 1950's vintage card showing three little "dolls" wearing dresses made from actual hankies. The hankie dimensions are 4-3/4" square. I've also reproduced the original mailable envelope which measures 5-1/8" by 4-3/4". There are also mini hankies of the larger ones scaled down to be used with your dolls. This card is very special and would make an excellent gift for the doll collector who has everything. It's quick and easy to make and would also be fun to complete at your next doll luncheon or meeting.

Invited to do a doll luncheon themed "Hats and Hankies", I developed several specialty projects with this in mind. My brand new "The Night Before Christmas" Hankie Book was reproduced faithfully but for it's size. It's been scaled down to work perfectly for dolls to read. The hankies inserted throughout the books six pages measure 1-3/4" square. There are no hankies on the front or back covers. The book measures 2-3/8" wide by 3" high. It's bound with red cording. The images are precious and just perfect displayed with your doll collection.

New release for March 22, 2013 is Jean Nordquist's 5" mignonette all bisque doll presentation box. Designed after a late 1800's celluloid boudoir box, my new box features doors that open out to reveal darling small dolls surrounded by their dolls, toys, clothing and accessories. This display is suitable for both antique and reproduction style all bisque and doll house scale dolls circa the late 1800's and early 1900's. The project includes the building plans for the box, patterns for all the clothes, all the paper shown to cover the entire box, and all the graphics needed to recreate all the cardstock toys. You add your own dolls, dolls' dolls and other non cardstock goods such as the furniture, sewing machine, etc. There are several areas of display incorporated into this presentation including an upper deck inside the lid, two fold out pin tucked and padded doors, and a lower pull out drawer besides the main display area. Besides the project we also offer the box already built, a furniture kit for the table and mirror, and the jewelry shown. A wonderful and unique project for the advanced collector or novice alike, this project is sure to please.

Now you can make doll oriented gourmet vintage Christmas gift tags. Jean Nordquist has just released a new crafter's project geared to doll lovers of all ages. Images are taken from her antique paper collection. It includes over 148 images and over 100 of them include dolls. 40 cards are ready to cut and use or may be incorporated with the rest of the images in layers. Many size and shape options are available. Project includes over 75 To/From labels. This is a fun and easy project to do with children.

If you are looking for an extraordinary project to display an 8" tall fashion doll you need look no further. Jean has reproduced her antique celluloid box with raised relief sculptures on the lid to house a smaller doll with her clothing and accessories. The project actually includes complete instructions on how to build the box however Jean and Ken also sell the box as a kit for you to cover with their paper designs. Also in the project are clothing patterns for an 8" fashion doll plus lots of little accessory boxes to display with the clothing and doll. Jean has even taken molds of the reliefs which she sells for you to color with alcohol ink pens. Scale doll jewelry is also available and shown laid out along with all else. An advanced project, this one will work for either reproduction or antique dolls.

For all of you who like to build old fashioned style dollhouses from kits, we are proud to introduce our second in a series of Bliss and Gottschalk reproduction dollhouses. This one is 18" high with two stories. It is mostly assembled leaving some minor parts to be glued up. You do the painting of the exterior, add the doors and do the papering of the exterior architectural elements. Our kits include complete assembly instructions and lots of photos. Look for our next kit soon which will be a smaller house 11" high including the two chimneys in the height. It will work well with our no. 1 house.

Any time is the right time to create a Christmas toy. Here is one from Jean and Ken Nordquist sure to please. It is a replica of a late 1800's Bliss paper covered sleigh, reindeer, Santa and alphabet blocks toy. If you were able to find an actual old one to purchase you might expect to pay many thousands of dollars as this toy is so rare. Now you can make your own from the Nordquist's kit in an afternoon. This toy looks great displayed for Christmas on a mantle, with a doll collection or with other vintage toys. All the wooden pieces are precut ready for you to cut out the included paper images and adhere them to the sides. Then you glue all together using the doweling system also included. Also expect to find wonderful detailed instructions with clear photos illustrating step by step procedure. All you add is scissors, clamps, glue, and stain. What could be easier. Jean Nordquist's Paper Doll Puppet Theater is an easy to assemble and fun project to create a vintage 1920's actual theater for display or play. Children could work with parental guidance and accomplish this kit in an afternoon. It takes about three hours to complete once your additional supplies are gathered. The $35 kit for this project includes all 14 precut wood pieces, all cardstock images to cover the theater, and the 6 cardstock images of jointed puppet characters which include a girl, clown, Golliwog, dog riding a bear, clown riding a donkey, and a monkey riding an elephant. The puppets are suspended from the wooden rafter with fine black wire also included. You provide scissors, clamps, black paint and marker, and glue. You will also need a needle and thread to connect the puppet joints. Children can actually play with this theater and make the figures dance and move about the stage. . . OR . . . this would make a darling display to be featured among dolls in a collection.

"Dolls in Boxes" is a workbook for any doll collector or doll maker of both current day or antique and antique reproduction dolls. It gives you a new and different way to display your dolls. Both the doll and her wardrobe including her underwear may be shown all at once. The doll's wardrobe isplayed in a box arranged among other paper designs relating to the doll like her toys giving the collector and viewer an entirely different vantage point. Jean has used her antique paper collection to create interesting design themes for the ten boxes in this project for you to actually make. Complete instructions and box dimensions and technique are included. You will need to add your own cardboard, glue, cutting knife, cover papers like those used in scrapbooking, the dolls, any jewelry you might want plus the doll's clothes. Themes include a sewing display for a pin cushion doll, a 5" baby doll, a 7" to 8" Asian doll, a 6" bunny doll, assorted 3" Cupid dolls plus many more smaller all bisques. Finished boxes may even be displayed hanging on the wall. This is Jean Nordquist's first publication using her antique paper collection created in 1999 and it's still a classic today.
