Jean Nordquist released today, March 3, a brand new project on ebay employing Rafael Tuck reproduction paper toy images coordinated with die cut boxes and bags. There are 8 in the set that range in size from the smallest at 3-1/2"W by 4"H to the largest at 7"L by 6"H. The kit contains die cut boxes and bags plus the digital laser printed images plus gift tags to attach to your gift bags should you chose to use them that way. These 8 would also make wonderful display paper toys to arrange among a doll or toy collection. The project comes with complete instructions with the die cuts ready for you to fold and glue together. Then you cut out the fabulous graphic Tuck images and adhere them to the die cut boxes. This is a very easy and very fun project. Jean Nordquist released today, March 3, three new Bleuette sized doll trunk kits in three unique new themes. She used images from her antique paper collection to make these new trunks unique to her doll trunk line which now includes 12 different trunks. The first is a Valentine image trunk, the second used cat images and the third, for all you Alice in Wonderland fans, is Alice themed with images taken from Jean's wonderfully illustrated Alice book. All three trunk kits are the same size which is 7-1/4" long by 4-1/8" high by 5-1/8" deep. While they will not hold a Bleuette doll, they are in perfect scale to stand along side her and hold lots of her clothes. They work well with many dolls ranging in size from 3" to 15". These trunk kits are easy to cover using the included card stock. They make a delightful addition to any doll collection or just look great as decorator items. This is the first time we are offering our Bleuette sized alphabet table and spelling chairs to purchase as a set at a savings of $5. Our wooden kits with cardstock paper graphics to cover the table top and chair seat and back are faithful replicas of toys produced around 1890 by Reed and Bliss in the USA. Paper covered toys of this type were so popular then as the printing process for making the beautiful and colorful graphics was just coming into it's prime. The printing process is called chromolithography and it was used extensively for not only toys, but games and block sets too. Jean Nordquist's second wooden kit release for 2010 is of a darling Tuck illustration of a little girl holding Mr. Punch in her right hand and a dolly in her left. When the string is pulled she raises and lowers her arms moving the dolls up and down. This reproduction 1920's English Tuck toy was originally made of chromolithographed covered cardboard. It was originally printed in Germany. Jean and Ken Nordquist own the original. Very difficult to find with a very desirable image, this rare perishable toy is now available for you to make from Jean's kit. Being made of wood, it's much sturdier than the original and could actually be played with, displayed with your doll collection, or used as a tree decoration. Jean Nordquist has just released her first reproduction wooden doll accessory kit for 2010. It is a darling 6-1/2" long rocking cradle suitable for all 4-1/2" to 5-1/2" dollies. It works really well with Wee Bambino or Bonnie Babe. The original cradle was made in the 1940's of cardboard. Our reproduction is made of cardstock covered wood so it is much sturdier. It is very easy to make. It consists of 2 head/foot boards, 2 dowel side rails, 1 bottom and 2 bottom supports. It also have all the paper images to cover the wooden parts. Best of all it also includes coordinated fabric from which you can make a matching mattress, pillow and trimmed coverlet. I just love displaying wonderful Victorian images with my doll collection. And I just love images of children sewing, especially for their dolls. Does your Bleuette doll have a darling trunk for all her clothes? If you answered no, now you can make one and it's ever so easy. We supply you with an undecorated trunk and the cardstock graphic design to cut and paste over it. What could be easier? If you like you can use brown shoe polish to seal and antique it after the design is glued down. Though Bleuette cannot fit inside, lots of her clothes will and she looks just darling standing along side it. If you love your 12" fashion doll and would like a wonderful setting in which to display her, then this is the project for you. My French style "Parfumerie" constructed of foam core board is 18" high and 12" wide and is copied from an original French display toy. It includes all instructions for assembly with a template for cutting the main back board. Also included are 15 dolly sized glass bottles and over 140 labels plus shells for a mini soap dish, a mirror, and a tiny powder box. Display cards for jewelry pieces also included.
