Jean Nordquist's Paper Doll Puppet Theater is an easy to assemble and fun project to create a vintage 1920's actual theater for display or play. Children could work with parental guidance and accomplish this kit in an afternoon. It takes about three hours to complete once your additional supplies are gathered. The $35 kit for this project includes all 14 precut wood pieces, all cardstock images to cover the theater, and the 6 cardstock images of jointed puppet characters which include a girl, clown, Golliwog, dog riding a bear, clown riding a donkey, and a monkey riding an elephant. The puppets are suspended from the wooden rafter with fine black wire also included. You provide scissors, clamps, black paint and marker, and glue. You will also need a needle and thread to connect the puppet joints. Children can actually play with this theater and make the figures dance and move about the stage. . .
