In a teary eyed press conference, Jorge Posada announced on Tuesday, 1/24, that he will be retiring from the New York Yankees and from Baseball. Posada donned the consummate striped baseball uniform bearing the number #20 on it for 17 years. He thanked God and many of his long time teammates for his success. He will be remembered as a great catcher with great stats to show for his long career. He is forever immortalized in team apparel and souvenirs and bobbleheads that are quickly to go up in price now that he has retired.
