AMERICAN MADE.
Rare, very early production, Hon convertible stainless steel folding bike, that is in red accent color instead of the usual black, with rare factory installed rack.
This bike shows that it has been used, but has 95% original parts. And is fully usable. However the shifter does not allow going into 1st gear "the lowest gear" and it is either an adjustment or hub issue, but it shifts fine between Second and Third, and I think it's just adjustment, but I am not a bike mechanic.
The brakes work great, but the front pads are red, and the rear black.
The sprocket is original and is the early side latch type, and it has lost some of the finish. The pedals are original and there is some slight rust on the nuts that hold the reflectors on.
The kick stand is original and it has lost some of the finish.
The fenders are original, and have faded to a pleasing cream color.
The red support block/wheel is loose and a chunk is missing out of the rubber wheel (this is what allows the bike to stand upright when folded) but it works.
I think only the front wheel, rear reflector, shifter & cable have been replaced.
This is a great made in America collector piece, and is a cool looking mode of transportation.
Study the photos. This bike is sold in "AS IS " condition with no returns accepted.
