At Trade Wind Statues™ it is our goal to bring about positive change in people’s lives. Trade Wind Statues™ is unique in that we work directly with many of the artisans and people within the communities where we purchase our statues in an effort to promote the principles of Fair Trade, while at the same time ensuring that our statues are of the highest quality available. We are working with our customers to make sure that they are purchasing a statue which will represent something meaningful in their lives. We are able to bring you statues that are of an extremely rare size and quality in this region of the globe, therefore, we offer you something that is as extraordinary as the individual purchasing it, and as exceptional as the one who created it.
Many of the statues that can be found in the United States are casts, that is, they are a concrete cast which is then painted on the outside. Though these types of statues are often inexpensive, they are quite soft and when they chip, crack, or break, you are left with a very dull concrete color. All of the statues that we sell are hand carved from stone, which offers a much higher quality than their concrete mold counterparts. We currently sell statues made from four different types of stone: black mountain stone (granite igneous), black lava stone (scoria igneous), green river stone (conglomerate sedimentary), and limestone (sedimentary) each one offering its own unique qualities.

When you purchase one of our statues a portion of your purchase will go towards supporting grass roots projects that are striving to create and maintain Fair Trade relationships, all the while promoting a world that will be more sustainable in the future. We feel that it is important to build, support, and actively encourage business relationships that are sustainable and fair on multiple levels.
In an effort to encourage long term economic, social, and environmental sustainability, Trade Wind Statues™ has recently begun working with the Yayasan IDEP Foundation in Indonesia.
