I wanted to talk a little about mermaids. I have been painting mermaids for sometime now and have done a few art shows. I have heard recently from some of the moms, that mermaids are just for little girls. And if their older daughter was interested in the mermaids that I designed, they wouldnt let them get one because they are too old. Well..this is not true! I dont know about you, but I strongly believe that you are never too old to enjoy a mermaid, or even a fairy, or any fantasy creature. Now, what do you think? Honestly. What about Tinkerbell? I see many adults wearing Tinkerbell items, or are in possesion of a Disney character of somekind. It kindof bothered me that a parent would say this to a child. Now Im not bothered because I wanted the parent to buy one of my mermaids. That is not my issue here. Its just funny how some people think that a fantasy creature is only for little ones... I think fantasy keeps our minds alive. Wouldnt it be kindof fun if you could swim under water for hrs on end... or to fly everywhere you go. Just something to think about.... Flippers Up!!!
