If you know you look good and dress well this article probably doesn't speak to you but you might still read it you might agree with the sentiment. It might just be the area I live in but at the mall today I noticed an overabundance of people dressed like crap. It's like they were still waiting for their Mom to pick something out, gave up, then put on the first thing they kicked while walking to their bedroom door. If this sounds like you this morning read on. Ever noticed how your wife or girlfriend raises and eyebrow when looking at pictures of Brad Pit or her favorite celebrity? It might be because you have let yourself go man. I'm sorry but you look like crap man. Don't have a girl, read on this likely still applies. Lets assume you used to give crap about how you look. Sadly now your look is defined by the word. I'm going to stop here and apologize for the over use of the word crap, just trying to make a point guys. The days of your Mom picking out your outfit is over. You are now in charge of making "you" look good. Let's start simple. How old is most of the clothing in your wardrobe? I hope you don't look at your collection of superhero tee shirts as a wardrobe. They're not, put them in a box for the next time you paint a room or hit the gym. If most of your clothing is older than 5 years old but not timeless classics, it's time to have a garage sale. Style is a retaliative thing it evolves and changes and must fit you. I say fit both literally and figuratively. Be courageous in finding your style. Don't wear what your friends do just because they do, that makes you unoriginal. Don't wear whats quick and easy, that makes you lazy. Take some time and browse the internet and magazines for a style you like. What are models and celebrities with the same build as you wearing? How dressed up or casual your future wardrobe will be is up to you. Start small with some jeans shirts sweaters jackets or pants what ever you dislike the most from your current wardrobe or whatever you call it. Try stuff from different brands until you find some thing you like. Then try similar brands until you find some brands you love. Once you find your brands stick to them. Buy complete outfits or at least pieces you can mix and match with similar or different brands. My look is mainly casual. I prefer fitted and slim shirts but that doesn't agree with every body style. Great place for fitted shirts from different brands is http://imagestudio714.com Once you nail down your brands and fit to your new look, get the basics. A few pair of jeans a pair of light and dark pants. A variety of shirts. Think layers when buying shirts and tops. When buying the basics make them match the others. Unless your style is to clash. If you do clash then, clash smart, use complimenting or same color family. Once the basics are done start to accessorize. Every man needs a black and brown belt and I'm not talking Kung Fu. You should also have some corresponding shoes. Don't be wearing brown shoes and a black belt or your Mom will slap you. You should also have nice watch pair of sunglasses and jackets for different occasions. Layering your clothing is a good way to get noticed with a sophisticated look. Layer your look with a sweater vest or jacket. Don't be afraid to throw on a flat cap to top it off. Remember if you gain 5 years or 15 pounds it is likely time to up date your look again. Hopefully your new look will give you a few more eyebrow raises.
