    9:30 AM PST, 12/5/2011

Have you ever wondered about creative ways to use those lovely old vintage earrings. Well, of course you can wear then when you have a pair but what do you do when you have only a single earrings left? 1) Use the earring as a clip on your neckline or hair. 2) Use single earrings as unique shower curtain ring decorations. Simply remove the backing and hot glue the earring to the front of the plastic ring. 3) Make your own creative napkin rings. See above for the technique. 4) Make a Christmas tree framed piece of art with all the lovely single earrings. The rhinestone ones make the most brilliant Christmas trees. 5) Hook these lovely jewels to string or hooks and use them as Christmas tree ornaments. How unique! 6) Attach them to a charm style chain bracelet and make your own one of a kind "cha-cha" bracelet. Remove the backings first. These are just a few simple ideas. Let your mind wander and come up with some of your own creative ideas. Vintage jewelry is art and beauty. Use those vintage pieces to light up your world and the world of those around you! Vintage jewelry is very diverse and versatile. Many people prefer to purchase and wear vintage jewelry over more contemporary pieces due to better quality and artistry of the older jewelry. But there are many other ways to use vintage jewelry. Have you ever seen those bejeweled picture frames at the expensive import stores? Why not create your own? Pick up some odds and ends or junk lots of vintage jewelry. Buy some inexpensive picture frames. Take a wire cutter and clip off the clips or backings of the jewelry and use a hot glue gun to adhere the jewels to the frame. You can use rhinestone earrings, pins of all sorts, glass or Lucite beads from necklaces, charms, you name it! Get creative, use colors that you love and voila, you have a piece of art! This makes a wonderful gift. Why not take some plain napkin rings and bejewel those? The holidays are here and what a great hostess gift that would make! Take sparkling pieces of jewelry and hang them on decorative string or ribbon and decorate your Christmas tree. What a unique and brilliant way to add a festive touch to any tree. Don't ever throw away single clip on earrings. They can be clipped onto the neckline of a blouse or top for some pizazz or used as hair jewelry, you already have the clip. Or perhaps use it as a pendant on a chain or necklace that you already have. Or better yet, buy some inexpensive charm style bracelets and attach all the unique cluster and rhinestone earrings to it to create your own one of a kind bracelet. How about jazzing up your bathroom by bejeweling your shower curtain rings? It is so simple with that handy glue gun! These are just a few simple ideas for using vintage jewelry in creative ways. I am sure there are hundreds more! Please visit my store for a brilliant selection of all types of vintage jewelry priced reasonably and offered with FREE shipping worldwide.
