Ray, I want to thank you for allowing me to buy this watch. I inherited my great grandfather 1903 pocket watch a couple of months ago and have started a little collection. I do not know a whole lot about these watches but I know that this one I bought is one of the best looking movements I have seen so far and I know the Seth Thomas name. My mother just gave me XXX.for Christmas and I put all I got toward this watch not thinking I had a chance. Man was I surprised and very happy. Ray, You’re on target. I am not really sure what a swing out case exactly is and sure did not know how to use it. I will make sure to follow your instructions and if I seem to have any bit of trouble I will go to this antique clock store that helped me take the back off my great grandfathers watch. Ray, Man oh man; I am stunned at the looks of this watch. I just can’t believe you let it go. You must have some bit of sadness to see it go. I promise that I will take the best of care of “our” watch. On the other note we were discussing, investing in watches, your right, I should not alter any retirement strategy to focus on buying watches. But I will continue to buy. As a mater of fact, I was very happy to hear that you are skilled in working on watches. I am very very interested in learning to at least clean them and replace a mainspring. I purchased a DVD instruction program from a fellow in California for $XX.00. You can check it out on the internet. XXX XXXXXXXX Watch Repair Course. I spoke with XXX a couple of times before I bought the course and thought it was worth a shot. At the very least, I will learn a lot about how watches work and what high grade watches have in them. When I feel confident enough, I will try to fix a couple of watches that I bought that run and stop. They are a couple of $50-60 watches I bought a couple of months ago when I first started. Think I can learn? Guess what watch I am wearing to work tomorrow. Thanks and I will always remember you as this Seth Thomas will never be sold. My five year old will inherit this watch one day and I will leave a note that I will haunt him if he sells it. Take care, Mark

I showed the watch to a friend and he offered to replace the glass. Not only did he replace the glass, but he also polished the silver case; the watch runs and looks great! Therefore, I decided not to make a claim, but I wanted to thank you for all your help and kindness. Your offer to replace the glass was certainly above and beyond you obligation as a seller. I'm so happy with the purchase that I bid and won a gold open face watch from you.
