Vendio Services Inc. has acquired SingleFeed, a company that allows online sellers to submit their product listings to multiple comparison shopping engines through a single product feed, officials announced today.

Vendio, an e-commerce company that allows small and mid-sized sellers to list on eBay, Amazon or their own Web stores, says it will integrate certain SingleFeed services into its offering in the future, though SingleFeed will continue to operate as a standalone service.

Auctiva, Vendio's sister company, will also be able to add SingleFeed's services to its offerings, says Helen Fang, Vendio's director of marketing.

Engines like Google and Shopping.com drive 15 percent to 40 percent of online stores' monthly visits

The technology allows customers to create one product feed and submit it to SingleFeed, where the feed can be validated, appropriately modified and automatically submitted to more than 18 comparison shopping engines, including Google, Shopping.com, Bing, TheFind and Nextag.

"SingleFeed's services will expand the number of buyers our merchants can reach," says Mike Effle, Vendio's CEO. "We've been particularly impressed by comments from existing customers, who've experienced significant improvements in their business by leveraging SingleFeed's technology and expertise."

Vendio officials add that comparison shopping engines like Google and Shopping.com drive between 15 percent and 40 percent of online stores' monthly visits.

Full integration of SingleFeed with Vendio and Auctiva will likely happen sometime next year, according to Vendio, but customers can sign up for a SingleFeed account at any time to start using the service.

SingleFeed also provides analytic tools to help merchants understand sales and conversion rates. SingleFeed offers multiple monthly plans.
