I sure wish Auctiva made it so thieves cannot right click and copy the enlarged thumbnails AS THEY SCROLL THROUGH LISTINGS. Does anyone have a suggestion to deter PEOPLE from doing this? AND TO AUCTIVA....WHY HAVE YOU MADE IT SO PEOPLE CAN DO THIS? ALL PEOPLE HAVE TO DO IS COPY THAN ENLARGE THAT IMAGE. PLEASE REPLY. THANK YOU.

Stopping right click only works in IE, which will stop your average user, or about 9 out of 10 people. There is NO way to prevent a power user from copying a photo, especially in Firefox. Even a blank GIF is easy to get around with about three extra clicks. I know almost every possible trick for copying photos. The only "sure-fire" method is a watermark, and if someone has the time and inclination, that can even be Photoshopped out and likely no one would ever take that time. There's an old adage, "You can't make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious."

This is probably the worst problem I have with taking my photos. I always have bad lighting, and they never look like professional type images, due to one or more sides having shadows, or too much lighting on another side. This build your own light box idea, is just what I have been looking for. Plus, I already have all the supplies needed to build one. Thank-you! so much Auctiva!!!

geranium, you are misinformed. simply preventing right click will NOT prevent someone from stealing photos! there are many ways someone can steal a photo. you simply cannot stop them. the best way to deter someone from trying is to have a blank gif cover. that is the only way to deter, but some will still find a way around it. simply preventing right click will make someone mad enough to disable java - you cant stop that. then your photos are gone.
