eBay permanently closed an eBay group focused on the site's current feedback system due to the group's lack of activity.

Members of the Feedback System group received an e-mail early this morning notifying them of the closure and informing them that all of the content posted in the group had been deleted.

Although Auctiva EDU was unable to obtain the date when the group was last active, eBay tells group members it automatically closes eBay groups that have no activity for 60 days.

"Inactive groups are automatically deleted from the system in order to ensure that new members have a positive groups experience," eBay tells group members. "Please be aware that the group name will no longer appear on your 'My Groups' page."

Feedback System was a public group that focused on ways to improve eBay's current feedback system. Like other eBay groups, members could participate in polls, discussions, receive newsletters and upload photos.

eBay encouraged group members to participate in other eBay groups.
