How to Edit Images

Editing images allows you to resize, rotate and crop images. This tutorial will show you how to edit images.

Instructions

Only one image can be edited at a time.

Step 1. Select an image.

  • Hover your mouse over the Images tab and click on the "Manage" link (Figure 1.1). The Image Management page will load.
  • Find the image you want to edit. Use the filtering and search tools, if necessary (Figure 1.2-A)
  • In the Item Action drop-down menu (Figure 1.2-B), choose the "Edit" option. The Resize Image page will load with your image selection.

Step 2. Edit image.

  • Resize: If you wish to resize the image, add the new dimensions into the width and height fields (Figure 2.1). Make sure the "Constrain Proportions" option is selected to keep the image proportions accurate to the original image. Click on the Preview button to see a preview of the changes. Click on the Save button to save changes.

  • Rotate: If you wish to rotate the image, click on the Rotate button. The Rotate Image page will load (Figure 2.2). In the Rotate drop-down menu, choose the desired rotation. Click on the Preview button, if necessary. Click on the Save button when you are satisfied with the rotation.

  • Crop: If you want to crop the image, click on the Crop button. Click-and-drag on the image to select the area you want to crop. Click on the corners to increase or decrease the crop region (Figure 2.3). Click on the Preview button to see a preview of the cropped area. Click on the Save button when you are finished cropping the image.

This completes the task of editing an image.
