eBay Promoted Listings Standard

Promoted Listings Standard is a cost per sale (CPS) marketing tool that gives you the power to increase your listings' visibility on eBay, drive more traffic and grow sales.

Auctiva's integration with Promoted Listings Standard gives you control over how much you're willing to spend to promote your listing(s). You get to pick your ad rate, which determines the eBay Ad Fee, and you only incur the eBay Ad Fee, if a buyer clicks on your ad and purchases the item; if a buyer clicks on your ad and they do not buy the item, then there's no Ad Fee. This tutorial will teach you how to create a campaign, select which of your items you want to promote, define your ad rate(s) and publish your campaign.

Step 1: Go to the Create A New Campaign Page

While signed into your Auctiva account, hover over the marketing tab located in the top header and click on Add/Manage Campaigns (Figure 1), this will bring you to the Promoted Listings Campaign Catalog page.

Click on the Create A New Campaign button (Figure 1.1).

Step 2: Create your Promoted Listings Standard Campaign

Give your Promoted Listing Campaign a title (Figure 2A). We suggest your title indicates the type of products within the campaign as well as the reason why you're promoting the items. For example, a good title may look something like "Home and garden overstock items - Q4 2021 holiday selling season".

Next select your start (Figure 2B) and end (Figure 2C) dates.

If you select the start date of today, the campaign is generally live within a few hours after publishing it, otherwise it will become active on the day you scheduled it for. Select the specific date you would like your campaign to end, or leave the field empty if you would like the campaign to run continuously. End dates can be modified at any time and you also have the ability to pause, start or end the campaign at any time.

Step 3: Add Listings To Your Campaign & Select Your Ad Rate Strategy

To add listings to your campaign, you can choose between two options. Select either "eBay's recommended listings" (Figure 3A), or "Add Listing IDs" (Figure 3B). Then pick your Ad Rate strategy (Figure 3C), and click the "Next" button (Figure 3D) to review your campaign details and publish it.

Step 4: Review & Publish Your Campaign

Review the items and ad rate you had selected for this campaign. If eBay has a suggested ad rate for an item, you will see that in the Suggested Ad Rate column (Figure 4A). Use the "plus" or "minus" icons to modify the ad rate, or click into the ad rate field and manually input a new ad rate (Figure 4B). Review the Est. Ad Fee column(Figure 4C), to get an idea of how much the eBay Ad Fee would be for that item. Click the "trash can" icon if you want to remove a listing from the campaign (Figure 4D). Then click the Save & Publish button to publish your campaign (Figure 4E).
