Headquartered in Chico, CA, Auctiva was founded in 1998 by Jeff Schlicht to help expedite the eBay listing process.
The first version of Auctiva desktop software was called Auctiva Poster, which helped cut the time of posting items in half. Once small businesses expressed interest, Schlicht established an engineering team. In the spring of 2000, Auctiva acquired eBud, the leading application in auction management at the time.
In order to reach the entire eBay market worldwide, Auctiva changed from desktop software to a Web-based auction management environment. The first phase of this new version was released to the public on June 23, 2005.
Auctiva was acquired in August 2010 by Alibaba.com, providing users integrated access to low-cost product sources through AliExpress—a global wholesale platform geared for smaller resellers seeking fast shipment of small quantities of goods.
Auctiva is continually adding features to its suite of products that make the eBay listing process easier, faster and most certainly better!
