Auctiva Management Team

Auctiva's management team is experienced at seizing opportunities in the high-growth technology sector. Under its focused leadership and direction, Auctiva develops intelligent, innovative solutions strategically targeting the dynamic market of small businesses utilizing the online-auction channel to sell our products.

Jeff Schlicht, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
As a frequent auction poster and the creator of Auctiva Poster auction software, Schlicht has gained considerable insight into the needs of online-auction sellers. He created Auctiva Poster to automate the time-consuming process of selling his products (lumps of coal from the Titanic as Auctiva legend goes) on eBay. Prior to founding Auctiva, Jeff spent eight years in software development, including architecting and developing supply chain planning software for PeopleSoft. He received his BS in Computer Science from California State University, Chico.

Kevin Kinell, VP Engineering
Kevin joined Auctiva in 2000 as one of the original programmers and has input on nearly every product that Auctiva currently offers. As Vice President of Engineering, Kevin is responsible for all internal engineering including growth of the development team, overseeing the design of new features and leading the IT infrastructure. Kevin graduated from California State University, Chico, with a BS in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Business.

Tony Maxey, Sr. Product Manager
Tony is responsible for analyzing and tracking new and planned product features, as well as scheduling and tracking current work performed by Engineering, Content, QA, Graphic Design, and Marketing teams to ensure that delivery schedules for new products and features are met. Before joining Auctiva, Tony worked seven years as lead product manager for order fulfillment applications products at Oracle Corporation. Tony received a BS in Business Administration from Tennessee Tech University.

Paul Winer, Quality Assurance Manager
Paul mentors, trains and directs a team of QA engineers. As a senior software quality assurance professional with over 20 years experience, Paul has successfully implemented QA strategies at companies such as Cnet, Snapfish.com, DigitalThink, and Freddie Mac, as well as serving as the Vice President of Quality Assurance at Bank of America Securities for several years. Paul graduated with honors from Northeastern University where he received a BS in Electrical Engineering Technology.

Spencer Smith, Business Development Manager
Spencer leads Auctiva's strategic alliance program. Spencer has nine years experience in the software industry working for companies such as Echopass and SunGuard. As an entrepreneur Spencer has successfully owned and operated a software consulting firm, Allegiance Consulting, as well as an ecommerce business, rontimco.com. Spencer graduated with a BS in Economics from Brigham Young University. He later returned to his alma mater to earn his MBA.

Jessica J. Wright, HR/Office Manager
Jessica brings with her over 12 years of experience in her field. She is responsible for designing and implementing office policies, as well as managing all aspects of HR compliance. She is a primary company liaison with other businesses, organizations, and outside agencies, and handles new employee orientation. One of Jessica’s most important duties, however, is ensuring the positive, team oriented work environment that we are so proud of at Auctiva.
