How to Setup Auctiva Auto-Feedback for eBay

Auto-Feedback saves you time by streamlining your after the sale processes and also helps to improve your customer relationships.

This tutorial will walk you through how to set up Auto-Feedback and personalize it so that feedback is only left when you want it to be left.

Step 1: Create A Default Message & "Cycled" Messages

Before you can enable Auto-Feedback you must first create your feedback messages. If you're on the "Feedback Settings" page, click the "Create/Manage Feedback" button (Figure 1).

In the "Feedback Message" field, type in a positive feedback message, then be sure to mark this as your "Default" message. Also, check the "cycled" box (Figure 1.1) if you'd like it to be included in your cycled messages.

It's a good idea to create 15-20 cycled messages, as this will help improve your repeat buyer experience. Cycled messages give buyers the impression that you are leaving them unique, personal messages, rather than automated generic message.

Once you've created your feedback messages, click on the "Feedback Settings" link to return to the Feedback Settings page (Figure 1.2).

Step 2: Enable Auto-Feedback & Specify When To Leave It

Now that you've created your feedback messages, check the box to enable auto-feedback (Figure 2 A).

Be sure to select the checkbox "Use cycled feedback messages for Auto-Feedback" if you'd like the system to cycle through your various messages each time auto-feedback is left (Figure 2 B).

Then select the "Receive Auto-Feedback Summary Emails" checkbox if you'd like to receive email messages regarding the auto-feedback messages you left your buyers (Figure 2 C).

Next, choose when you'd like to leave a feedback messages for a buyer (Figure 2 D):

  • In response to buyer feedback means that your auto-feedback message will be left for a particular order only after that buyer first leaves you feedback.
  • As soon as payment is received means that your auto-feedback message will be left for a particular order only after payment has been fully received.
  • As soon as item or order is marked as shipped means that your auto-feedback message will be left for a particular order only after that order has been marked as shipped/completed.

Lastly, click the "Save" button to update your Auto-Feedback settings (Figure 2 E). Going forward your feedback messages will be left automatically for orders that pertain to your Auto-Feedback settings.
