How to Upload Images Via the Website

Auctiva offers personal Image Hosting storage so that you have a secure location to store all of your unique product images year over year.

This tutorial will walk you through how to upload new images into your Auctiva account via the website. To see how to upload images via the Auctiva Image App, checkout that tutorial here.

Step 1: Select Which Photos You Want To Upload

To upload new images into your Auctiva account via the website, go to the Auctiva Image Uploader page. Please be aware, images must be in a PNG, JPG or GIF format.

Click on the "Choose Files" button (Figure 1 A) to select the images from your computer that you want to upload into your Auctiva account, or simply drag and drop images into the specified section (Figure 1 B).

  • To upload multiple images at once, if on a PC hold down the "Control" key on your keyboard and if on a Mac, hold down the "Command" key to select more than 1 image at a time.

Step 2: Make Any Edits Needed Before Uploading

Once you've selected the images from your computer, you'll see them reflected in the upper section of the Image Uploader (Figure 2). At this time you can specify a few image settings, including:

  1. The image file name: You can click directly on the image title and give it a new name if needed (Figure 2 A).
  2. Basic image editing: You can also hover over an image tile, and make a few basic edits to it such as, flipping the image or rotating it.
  3. The max image size: Select either 1920 x 1440px or 1280 x 1024px from the dropdown menu (Figure 2 B); this will be the max size of the images you're uploading. You can also specify the Image Folder you want to store the images in. Storing your images in folders will help you stay organized and also help you locate them quicky in the future.

Once you've specified the settings you want your images to have, click the "Upload" button (Figure 2 C). You'll see the images move from the top section, down into the lower section.

Once the images have finished preparing for upload, they'll be moved into the lower section of the Image Uploader.

Here, you're able to drag and drop the images (Figure 3 A) to make sure they're arranged in the order you want them in. Then when you're ready, click "Done" to complete the upload process (Figure 3 B).

After you click "Done" you'll be brought to the Image Management page where you'll see all of the images currently stored within your Auctiva account.

On this page you can edit and delete your Auctiva Hosted Images. To access more advanced image editing tools, get the free Auctiva Image App for your iOS or Android device.
